Feeding Shelter Cats is iHeartCats' flagship giveback program, made possible through a partnership with GOODS by Greater Good Charities — a large-scale pet food distribution network that gets donated and surplus food to shelters across the country. 

Why It Matters

Food is one of the largest ongoing expenses for animal shelters. When shelters don't have to cover the cost of feeding the cats in their care, they can redirect those funds toward medical treatment, enrichment, and other needs that improve a cat's chances of adoption. Greater Good Charities makes this possible at scale — collecting donated and surplus pet food from manufacturers and retailers, then organizing the transportation, storage, and delivery it takes to get that food to shelters that need it most.
