Purrfect Start is an iHeartCats giveback program made possible through partnerships with rescue organizations across the country, including groups like Furry Friends Animal Rescue and Karlee's Angels. This program was created with an urgent mission: to give orphaned, newborn kittens the round-the-clock care they need to survive.

Why It Matters

Every day, entire litters of newborn kittens arrive at overwhelmed shelters with no mother to care for them. These fragile kittens need to be bottle-fed every two to three hours, day and night — a level of care most municipal shelters simply don't have the staff or resources to provide. Without immediate help, they face a tragic and avoidable end. Purrfect Start provides feeding kits — including formula and bottles — along with education, so foster volunteers and rescue partners can keep these kittens alive and thriving until they're old enough for adoption.
