Safe & Together™ is a life-changing initiative made possible through iHeartCats' partnership with Greater Good Charities. This program was created with a shared mission: to help domestic violence survivors and their cats find safety together, instead of forcing them to choose between the two.

Why It Matters

Research shows that a large share of domestic violence survivors delay leaving an abusive situation out of fear for their pet's safety, in part because only a small percentage of shelters are able to house animals alongside people. Safe & Together helps remove that barrier — funding pet-friendly renovations at domestic violence shelters, as well as care packages for survivors and their cats — so no one has to leave a beloved companion behind to reach safety.

How You Help

There are several impactful ways you can support the Safe & Together mission:

• Shop Safe & Together Products: Select products in our store are specially marked to support this program. Each item purchased helps provide a day of safety and care for a survivor and their pet at a facility equipped to keep them together.
• Make a One-Time Gift: You can also make a one-time donation to help a survivor and their cat stay safe together.
