Second Chance Rescue Flights ✈️Updated 3 hours ago

Second Chance Rescue Flights (part of the broader Second Chance Movement™) is a life-saving transport initiative made possible through iHeartCats' partnership with Greater Good Charities. Since 2016, this program has helped fly and drive at-risk shelter cats from overcrowded, low-adoption areas to regions where loving families are waiting.

Why It Matters

In many parts of the country, shelters are overcrowded and under-resourced, and adoptable cats are euthanized simply because there isn't enough space or demand. In other regions, shelters have far more potential adopters than available cats. Second Chance Rescue Flights closes that gap — funding travel miles for volunteer pilots and drivers who transport at-risk cats from high-euthanasia-risk shelters to safety, often within days of takeoff.
